UK Based Meal Prep Service?

hey hey

anyone able to recommend a prep meal delivery service in the UK?

I’ve been using microwave meals from Iceland for the last month or so (they do MyProtein ones) and I’m pleased, they’ve a decent nutrition profile, taste alright and it’s a much higher protein level than I’d otherwise eat with the standard sandwich etc.

That being said, I understand that they’re crazy processed and full of rubbish (apparently)

so wondered if there are any better tried and tested options.

Now, I understand doing my own prep is preferred but I just can’t do it. Any time i’ve tried in the past it takes ages and I don’t have the time to do it not when I spend alot of my free time cycling or training, and beyond that I have a young family which is already tricky to juggle.

This is only for lunches for me. Breakfast I’m sorted for I feel. Evening meals I always cook fresh, which sometimes would be fine to keep for lunch but again, they’re really family meals rather than macro specific meals so these prepped pots just work really well for me.

Any suggestions?

We use these:

I quite like them tbf

I’ve used simmereats.coom for a few weeks now, food tastes decent, is available exactly when I need to eat (frequently just after getting home) and fits the macros I need really well - at least while trying to lose some weight.

Not having to think about portion size or working out the calories of what I’m cooking and weighing everything is really helpful.

that’s the forth recommendation i’ve had for prep kitchen so will see how they go. Thanks

We’ve used Mindful Chef - it was OK if you like chickpeas, which we seemed to get a lot. Recipes were good though, just got expensive after a while

:scream:

You can’t introduce me to high protein salted caramel ice cream like that then take it away in the next sentence!

It’s the cheesecake you need in your life

Our local co-op stocks Cook branded ready meals they are our go to when we don’t want to cook, they are just like home cooked food, no added preservatives etc. You pay for the quality, around £5 as portion
They sell on-line at cookfood.net
